Tb48 auto

Hi everyone

Been a long time since I've posted here

Just have a bit of a question in regards to the GU Patrol with the tb48 engine and the 5 speed tiptronic automatic

Are these Automatics ok? I plan on doing some pretty serious four-wheel driving and would definitely love to have the tb48 engine but if the automatic is only suited for on road use definitely not going to go down that route

Re: Tb48 auto

They were a pretty reliable tranny, no major issues.

Reliable car but common problems are with the plugs or the gaskets. Some people report issues running from gas, but it's rare and not really proven.
