Re: Tom Petty RIP

Sad news

I saw him and Stevie Nicks when they were supporting Bob Dylan many moons ago. Dylan was shit - it was like he just couldn't be bothered. Tom Petty and Stevie Nicks killed it that night. We got our money's worth.

Never enjoyed Dylan's singing type. Angry mumbly lazy style.

When he's on, he's ON. I occasionally like to have a listen to him, but other times.......

You know he won a Nobel Prize for literature. Love him or hate him, he has been hugely influential in so many ways.

Anyways, back on topic, Tom Petty was awesome to see live.

It was never a problem for Dylan of "when he is on", it was always "what he is on".
George Carlin, an American Comedian said; "Think of how stupid the average person is, and realise that half of them are stupider than that".
