4WD Supacentre

So, who's bought what from these guys?

https://www.4wdsupacentre.com.au/

I finally took the plunge and picked up one of their compressors last week. On special at $79.00 with a freebie 4m extension hose thrown in. Certainly pumps hard, and is quiet. Seems shitloads better quality than a lot of stuff I've seen in the $100 - $200 price bracket. Will probably mount it permanently in the rear once I install some drawers and a 2nd battery.

Anybody had experience with their winches?

Re: 4WD Supacentre

Got two of their winches here waiting to go on vehicles.

Just checked their website and the domin8tor winch is on sale for $349 including freight.

Have a set of their drawers in the back of the patrol wagon. Works as designed.

Re: 4WD Supacentre

Cool, thanks.

I'm looking at drawers and a winch next.

Gotta see if I can squeeze the drawers into the back of the Frontera. I'll probably have to remove the inner lining of the rear door and replace it with something flat - checkerplate or something...

Re: 4WD Supacentre

Cool. Thanks fellas.

Anybody got the 900mm drawers? I need to know if their "900mm" is exactly 900mm. I'm gunna be really tight for length in the rear of the Frontera, just want to be sure before parting with my cash...

And do you find you use the awning much? or is it just a "nice to have" accessory?

Re: 4WD Supacentre

Gimme sec Goatboy, Ill go out with a measuring stick and have a lookee....

edit: oops sorry, no help. GU ones are bang on 1m deep and 107.5 wide. Give em a call.

And the awning.... when camping (Finke, high country etc), sure. Rain or shine, even rolled the swag under it to keep the dew/frost off.
Otherwise, its good for decreasing fuel economy.
But for $200 odd, its not over the top.

Re: 4WD Supacentre

For me its a bit of a nice to have accessory BUT Its farking awesome to have if its pissing rain or stinking hot with no other shade. I paid 130 for mine and it came with an led. They have been cheaper. 2.5x3m.

I would buy one again.

I purchased a light bar, will probably fit it after I have finished our walk in robe and my man cave.

I got a 22" lightbar about a month ago and am happy with it. It's only a 3w one but that's all I wanted and at $70 with the wiring harness.

Re: 4WD Supacentre

Just bought some drawers.

Hopefully they'll arrive next week....

I scored some cheap IPF driving lights at the wreckers. I'll wait till I get around to refurbishing and fitting them before deciding on whether I need a light bar and if so, how big.

Have used far cheaper lights that have far better performance. I had a set of Nitestalkers and all the Narvas I have had have always been better.

Mind you, its been a while since I hqve done the comparison.

Roo lites too, the set I bought vibrated like buggery. Got a refund and currently have Narva Utima225s, they have a better beam than the Roos.....no black spots.

Cant say I have eve had a set of Narvas I have been dissapointed with.

OK, thanks mate.

I'll compare them with the old set of Hellas I have on there at the moment, and then make a decision. Will probably put a small/medium light bar on for fill. and see how that goes.

You'd be better off making em fit in the car.

LOL!

I'm going to have to modify the interior lining of the rear door to fit 'em in.

Anybody have any tips on the best way to get a nice neat cut?? There's a kind of "pocket" that sticks out and needs to be removed to make the cargo area long enough to fit the drawers in.

Plastic or metal? How large?

A dremmel cutter (small 30-40mm cutting disk) would do both materials, but set aside an hour or so.

Plastic, as far as I know. Won't know more till I remove it.
