Dunno about them...
Goatse if you go see Greg at G&S tyres in Somerville, apart from the normal range (Cooper/MT/Nitto/Maxxis etc) he does some cheap end but pretty good Chinese stuff. He's had a bit of experience with them and good feedback.... and I think he's fitted some chinese made muddies to his Triton and is very happy with them.
I put some 33" Trazano AT's on the GU to haul the bikes etc to Finke. Chinese made, cheap as chips and Ive found them bloody fantastic.

That's what I like to hear. Have been a bit reluctant to look at Chinese tyres, as the idea of finding out the hard way that they have zero onroad traction isn't appealing.

I had more flex out of the front and rear of my Kia. Eleven inches out of the front and the rear could see fifteen (top of tyre at sill level).

At a "flex off "(ramp challenge) held by a company a few years ago without letting air out of my tyres I placed middle of the pack against all comers (stock to highly modified). Outdid a few modified all leaf 40's, all the Jackaroo's and Pajero's, and other IFS vehicles. Seriously under-rated - 2" spring, 2" body, and 5" oversize tyres.

Such a pity Qld Transport did not share my passion for it....

In my retirement I would definitely like to try again...longer A arms (IFS and ball joint angles) at the front and proper A frame at the rear, Toyota V6 with gear drive transfer case Mitsubishi ifs front axle 8".

Granted, not much of the original drivetrain other than the basic layout would be left, but would address all the shortcomings of the drivetrain while taking advantage of the suspension setup.

I was referring to his hardcore wheeler comment, it's got flex.
