I agree, so here's a few pics of a Giacattolo instead. Have a close look at the tool kit in the second pic.

they finished these cars up here on the coast a local signwriter in caloundra did the stikas. took one for a run in the kawana industrial estate. from memory some upholstery was being done. always had fast cars and like to think I am fairly handy behind the wheel but this thing scared the sh1t out of me. Imagine sitting in the eng bay of a v8 supercar graphed(sp) onto a go cart. the noises, vibration, feeling, power, handling was AWESOME. dont think I have released so much adrenalin in such a short distance behind the wheel since. RIP to Todd. but he would have passed doing something he loved in an awesome toy he loved if that is any concilation.
only the first roll hurts, then its a ride..

That thing has the shell of an alfa Romeo sprinter, except on steroids.

Its a long way from its original front wheel drive, 105hp 1.5 liter boxer engine.
Dont expect mere proof to sway my opinion.

I wouldn't mind going that way, but I want to do it at 103 not at 29.
This is not legal advice.

totally agree.

But on the safety side there will be no way I will go in a high speed accident in MY patrol diesel.

It was based on the Alfasud Sprint, which is distinct from the Alfasud. The Sprinter was a Toyota.

When I go, I want to go quietly, in my sleep, like my grandfather did.

And not screaming, like the passengers in his car.

Had a friend who used to do that with $50 note on the dash of his Nissan GTR. You had to get it before the car reached the other side of the intersection.
No one ever got it, you couldn't get your arms up in front of you!

I used to do it with my Suzuki sierra. It's why I'm broke and drive a Suzuki sierra.

Ps I'd rock out with my cawk out in a GZE powered Toyota sprinter. Bring the dorifto!

Re: Holden GTR-X

Well, sad news. My friend that owns the GTRX died yesterday evening at his home in Frankston Apparently he was seated inside his Maserati in one of his sheds, the engine was running and it is believed he suffered a turn of sorts. The engine kept running and the car caught on fire. I hope he had passed prior to the fire taking hold. He was 83.

I visited him about 3 weeks ago and he was working on the Maserati and was going to sell it. He was also very excited that his beloved GTRX had a future also with a firm agreeing to restore it for him, and then they would do a limited production run .... nothing was in writing and it may have been just a silent memorandum of understanding...

PS AJ read your message will get back to you mate.
