I have. Installed it as I hate points. I didn't do it for revability, just easy of starting and driving. Had it installed by a dizzy place as the dizzy needs to be modified slightly to enable the device to fit over the shaft. Minor surgery. Once installed it is a set and forget with no gaps to worry...

I have an 93 Mav. The previus owner had installed driving lights and the switch gear was located below the radio in the dash. There are a number of clip out oblong black plastic press in fittings where you can install switches and alike. One of the fittings has broken a tab which secures it into the...

Uniden 105 GPS UHF radio

To Jeeps,

a previous thread suggested that the Uniden combo sets don't work as well . As you have a 013 radio and scanner does it work ok as a radio? Can you receive/transmit OK and do your mates complain about the range of your set compared to their single function type.

Uniden GPS 105 UHF radio

I have seen the Uniden GPS 105 UHF radio on the market. The price varies between $400 and $470 depending whether it is on ebay or retail. Does anyone own one and what is your opinion of the performance as a radio and it's GPS capability?

Points..mine stuffed up and I bought the Igniter. You have to have the dizzy modded ( minor grinding of the shaft where there is a small lip) to fit the kit. Once fitted it is set and forget. It is a hall effect and there is nothing really to wear out or to go wrong. It starts better, runs better an...

I tell my mate that his GQ is Jap crap...and my Ford Mav is good old Yankee Iron. I say it to just piss him off.

Anyway it feels better to think that you are driving a Ford especially when you have just watched Battle of Midway or Pearl Harbour.......

How do you get the defect removed? Don't you have to present your vehicle for inspection? Like you turn up with your rig touching the stratosperhe and tyres you could plow a field with and they pass it. If so then the Vic roads inspectors are b lind? If not .........bargain. Risky business though.

I dug out the old Shakespere AM CB SSB/LSB 23 channel from the garage. It came with a car I bought 20 years ago. Forgot I had it.

It still works but doesn't have an antennae for it. I wonder if it is still able to be utilised these days or is it past its technilogical prime?

Curious to know if the axles on the GU will fit on the GQ? That is the entire axle hub to hub.

Is the track the same?

If so will all the pickup points, suspension components and ancillaries match..including the steering ball joints?

I am contemplating purchasing a CB radio. I will mount it in the dash pod in my Mav. I see some of the rigs have both AM and UHF. I have no idea of the advantages of both or what SSB does.
