Re: Reccomend a replacement main battery

Bit the bullet and bought the cat 175 battery yesterday. Tried to install it last night but with the normal battery style lugs on top it doesn't quite fit under the bonnet little bit of lugging and a 10mm nylock and should be good. Turns the motor over extremely easily now. Just hope it stands up to...

Just spoke to the cat dealer in unnandera and they priced the 175 battery for $144 +. And the 115 battery was $212+

Good price and they have them in stock

Re: Reccomend a replacement main battery

Thanks for the info. There is a cat dealer in unnandera and I'm working in the are so I will have to stop past and have a chat about the model numbers you guys have said and see what they can do. I'm thinking that for the warranty they offer they must have fairly high confidence in their product. Mark

Re: Reccomend a replacement main battery

Feel free to go through the cat reference guide like i already have and tell me which battery is 1000cca and would suit a 4runner. Maybe I was a bit harsh to start with but it gets old reading a post where Someone says what is best, when everyone has different requirements. Everyone had there own op...

Re: Reccomend a replacement main battery

Excuse my lack of knowledge oh knowledgeable one. And explain why I should listen to your opinion over anyone else's. did look up cat batteries but had no idea which battery was the correct one that was 1000cca nor where to buy it from. Or if it would even fit in the space available in my engine bay...

Reccomend a replacement main battery

Hi all. Looking for a new main battery that is going to stand up to everything that gets thrown at it. After looking through old pages I'm guessing around 800-900 cca would be sufficient but unsure where to look to get one for a good price or brands that I should look at/steer clear of. It's for a 2...

I opened the resivour lid while the engine was running and I could see that there was still fluid flowing. If it was slipping would I still see that happening?

Re: Best course of action for neighbours barking dog

If you do provide the dog with toys or food just becareful as if this is taken the wrong way and they think that you are trying to harm the dog by giving it "bad/poisoned" things it may come back to bite you

Even if you haven't or would things could still get ugly

Re: Shed planning with limited space

Not knowing exactly what you requirements are its hard to say but either a 40A, 50A or 63A supply would be heaps. You could go down to a 32A main breaker in the sub board but if your upgrading it now your better off with a bigger supply just incase you ever want to run something bigger in the shed. ...

Re: Shed planning with limited space

How many amp is the 3 phase supply to the pump as you may not be able to use that for everything in the shed if that was your intention. If you can pull a new larger cable through that conduit if it is in conduit. You would be better off putting a new sub board in the shed and running the pump and a...

When I have tried to start the car in the past the battery always drops to under 12v. Could this mean that the battery is not big enough for the strain of starting a diesel or is this normal?

Re: 4runner

Yeah they were rhino racks. They reccomended the 1.8 m length tracks but I got the 2.1m ones so I could have the option of mounting a light bar or a few sportiest on a small rack at the front.

They are meant to sit just on the inside of the small channel on your roof
