the flexible flares from Paddock etc. in the UK are better and you can buy on line. They dont damage as easy as the fibreglass ones and cost around the same to buy- although more stuffing around to get them here depending on how you do it! |

the paddock spares flares are good looking units but I have emailed them twice for a price on freighting them to Oz and never got a reply. NOT good business ethics IMO even if they didnt want to send me any, just let me know |

I got mine from Paddocks, no issues with Freight or communication with them
But... if you have had enough with Paddocks try Innovation
http://www.innovation4x4.co.uk/ (I think they were more expensive though )
Mine have taken a beating and have not broken....plenty of character marks on them but they just flex in and back into shape! Highly recommended. |

Sorry slunnie just a little stirring mate, sure it's no drama.
How do i get in contact with Paddocks in the UK? I just saw a video on the innovation website, a defender drove over a flare that they make. Can the paddock flares handle that sort of treatment? Are they any harder to fit compared to fibergless type does anyone know? Ive been quoted $700 for fiberglass. But i dont want something that will crack on the first tap. Are the paddock type cheaper or dearer than what i have been quoted. I know people are sometimes reluctant to say prices, are they higher or lower? |

They appear to be 165pound (About A$350) from both sources now but you would need to check freight comparisons. As far as i know the flares are the same from both. Same method of installation from what i know but i have only ever installed the flares from paddocks (have never installed the fiberglass flares).
Obviously, as per the contact page on the paddocks website you can call them, fax them, email them or post them a letter You can probably also just order online and they will confirm freight prior to charge and dispatch.

heard back from innovation already, very good.
freight to oz will be 200 pounds. they said that it would be the same freight cost for 2 sets of flares which makes it very affordable.
that means if I buy two sets it will be 265 pounds each which = $550 or one set would be 365 pounds which = $756.
if there is anyone else in Tassie who would like a set, PM me and we can work something out.
cheers |

The freight deal is to do with size, not as much as weight ! I priced it up with innovation 8 months ago , also with a private freight crowd , and its all to do with the amount of space the package takes up , so if we can get three or more sets of these flairs it's a worth while exercise! |

Id go paddocks if I were you. Emailed them on Friday and had a reply on Sat saying it would only cost half of that to get the flares shipped over. This is cheaper than me getting scrapirons ones locally through their supplier too.
Soon as my tax return comes in I think I'll order some. |

I've been told that the plastic flares are not good at withstanding UV light been told they go brittle & dis-colour. How long have ya's had plastic flares has anyone had this happen to theirs. |

I have had mine for over a year and whilst they have copped plenty of abuse no issues at all and gee they are tough. They dont just crack or chip like the fibreglass ones do. |

I don't think that they are available anymore. I tried to get a set a while back and was told that they stopped making them. They looked alright too.
Cheers

I have a set from paddocks and from memory they only have one size. I measured them this morning and they only sit 50mm from the body so not sure where th 78-80mm has come from? There are picks floating around in another post but let me know if you want me to . them. |
