$12000?? sounds like a lot (more than he cars value I'd say). How much more would it cost him to
wack one of the new 4.5 v8 diesels in? Anyone here done it yet? |

I have just done the LS1 conversion in my 80, And it is worth the dollars in my opinion.
Have lots more power, uses less fuel, runs better, sound better, And ya just can't beat a V8
I don't know of any 4.5 V8 diesel conversions being done, But i don't think you would even buy an engine for $12g, Plus all the electrics etc would be a lot more work and research involved over a gen 3/4, therfore alot more dollars.
And with a stock gen 3 you can easy have 300kw with just a tune and good exhaust.
