lookin at gettin this 4runner for the missus...(1st car)

its an '86 2.4d.

its a lil rough around the edges but not bad, zero rust, 2 dings, 1 in rear 1/4 and another in passenger side front guard. not bad though.
worst things are the motor has a SUSPECTED blown head gasket(278000kays), interiors a bit grotty, nothing a good bath wont fix though (no tears or ciggy burns), centre consoles busted, clutch is playin funny buggas, i suspect slave cylinder, and the usual back window wont play the game.

what i want to no is if the motor is shagged whats the going price for anothery?
centre console availability?
whats the usual drama and fix with the back window?
also the passenger seat wont slide forward, this common and whats the usual fix?

anyway heres a pic and i can take it home for $1000...

At a 1000 bucks i would buy it anyhow if the motors shaged no big problem sell it in parts and make a good profit

head gasket isn't hard to change on an engine.. just pull the head off, new gasket, head back on, torque, done. A single days work depending on how hard it is to get off in the first place.

yeah ive done plenty of head gaskets mate, but as i said its a suspected blown gasket. it maybe something alot worse, which is what im concerned about.

If the 2.4 is shot, can swap in a 2.8 (3L) all just bolts up.
There was a 2nd hand one for sale on here not long ago I think Confused

ive got a 3L and gearbox thats done 340 odd thou sitting here, new gasket at 250K and the only dud thing is the alternator!

I threw a 1KZ into my lux- its insane on boost now! Laughing
